A big Khabib Nurmagomedov announcement appears to be imminent.

However, it is unknown whether his next fight will be a long overdue title shot. There are two title holders in the UFC's lightweight division. A unification bout between Conor McGregor and Tony Ferguson is what the promotion wants to book, but that may not happen next. Dana White recently told Yahoo Sports that Nurmagomedov could get a crack at Ferguson's strap in McGregor's absence.
