Nick Diaz blasts Khabib Nurmagomedov’s comments following UFC 229 chaos

The aftermath of UFC 229 continues to rumble on...

All that anybody can talk about since Conor McGregor's defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov is the complete chaos that followed it. The lightweight champion, having tapped out the Irish man proceeded to jump the cage and start a brawl with McGregor's team mate, Dillon Danis. Meanwhile, the Dagestan fighter's entourage which included UFC fighter Zubaira Tukhugov, jumped into the cage and attacked a defeated Conor McGregor. The whole fiasco incited a riot inside the T Mobile arena that eventually spilled onto the streets in what was an ugly ugly end to a fantastic night of Mixed-Martial-Arts. In the aftermath of the events which ended with Khabib Nurmagomedov being escorted from the ring to a chorus of boos without having his title belt wrapped around him, he addressed the media where he immediately apologised for the events that unfolded. The Russian attempted to place blame at the feet of McGregor following his pre-fight antics. Of course some plan lies with McGregor as he clearly goaded that reaction out of Khabib. However, two wrongs don't make a right. The lightweight champion sent a message out that Conor McGregor's pre-fight trash talking shouldn't be accepted. He told those inside the media tent.

"This is a respectful sport. This is not trash talking sport. "I wanna change this game. I don't wanna people talk shit about their opponent, about their family, religion, nation... "That's very important to me."

Team Alpha Male coach and former UFC lightweight Danny Castillo posted Khabib's comment onto Instagram which prompted a response from one Nick Diaz. The UFC star commented simply; "Then it wouldn't be a real fight." Diaz's commented was backed up by his little brother Nate, who is of course a rival of Conor McGregor.
