The Dubliner is set to face veteran John Howard at UFC 189.
Howard (22-11) comes into this fight off the back of three consecutive losses under the UFC banner. His most recent coming by way of a first round TKO at the hands of Lorenz Larkin in January.
Pendred, on the other hand, has enjoyed a far better time of late having won all four fights since signing for the UFC, and is fresh from his unanimous decision victory against Augusto Montano at UFC 188.
He is currently riding an eight-fight win streak, yet is unbeaten in his last 13 bouts. That annoying stat comes courtesy of his draw against Danny "The Cheesecake Assassin" Mitchell back in 2011.
Aldo joins compatriots Conor McGregor (hopefully), Neil Seery and adopted Irish man Gunnar Nelson (hopefully), who are also booked to fight on the event which takes place on July 11th.
