Reebok backs Jon Jones after the champion announces he is checking into drug facility

Reebok were quick to give their support to UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones after news broke last night that he was set to check into a treatment facility after failing a drug test last month.

The sports' clothing giant is Jon Jones' main sponsor and had recently signed a six-year deal with the UFC to be their official apparel partner. A statement from Reebok last night read: "We commend Jon for taking the necessary steps to address the issue, and we will support him in any way we can. The status of Jon's relationship with Reebok has not changed." The sport apparel company will introduce uniforms for all fighters come July of this year and Jones was always going to be one of the company's biggest draws. Jones had recently signed his own deal with Reebok after failing to re-sign with Nike and was very positive about the upcoming relationship. “Now I’m with Reebok, and I’m so happy to be with Reebok,” Jones said during a press conference ahead of his UFC 182 grudge match with Daniel Cormier.
