Top Irish prospect James Gallagher’s to fight in the lion’s den on historic Bellator card

After a successful Bellator debut, SBG's James Gallagher has booked himself a sophomore bout on the promotion's first ever Israeli card.

Gallagher (4-0) will have just turned 20 when he steps into the cage to face Kirill Medvedovsky in Tel Aviv on November 10. The Strabanimal enters into this bout off the back of his dominant decision victory over Mike Cutting at Bellator 158 in London. He will be looking to improve his pristine professional record with another impressive win on the big stage. Medvedovsky will be making his promotional debut against the Irishman and according to Sherdog, he holds a 7-2 professional record. He fights out of Israel and will undoubtedly have the support of the crowd at the Menora Mivtachim Arena. Speaking to his management company, North Lion Team, Medvedovsky spoke highly of his next opponent.

"I have watched his fights, he is a very serious contender, but not so experienced."

An added bonus for Gallagher is that the card is sure to draw a lot of eyes as it's headlined by a barnburner of a headliner between welterweight champion Andrey Koreshkov, who's only loss came to arguably the greatest 170 lber in the world Ben Askren, and the man who he took the title from, Douglas Lima. https://www.instagram.com/p/BKQHXlCg9Pn/
