The Rock is clearly a Conor McGregor fan judging by his latest Instagram post

The Rock smells what The Notorious is cooking, and he approves.

There has been a groundswell of support for Conor McGregor since he backed up his predictions with a first round KO of former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo. MMA pundits, fans and fighters have showered the Dubliner with praise and even some of his harshest critics have grudgingly admitted his weekend performance was something to behold. Dwayne Johnson has followed McGregor's career since he made his UFC bow. The aspect of his weekend triumph that impressed the WWE star the most was his graceful Instagram post. Along with re-posting McGregor's Sunday morning missive, Johnson stated:

'One of the classiest messages and show of respect for his opponent I've seen from a champion. Congrats @thenotoriousmma. You're on your way to becoming an icon. #Respect'
