UFC Dublin fighter responds to Dana White saying he’s not popular enough for a title shot

Number three-ranked heavyweight Stipe Miocic takes on knockout artist Ben Rothwell in the co-main event at the upcoming UFC Dublin event. However, despite being one of the most elite fighters in the division, he explained to Submission Radio that Dana White refused him a title shot because he wasn't a needle-mover.

Miocic kept fairly tight-lipped on the matter for the last couple of weeks, but decided to respond to the claim that he wasn't popular in style.     Honestly, who cares if he's not all that popular? He's knocked out the granite-chinned Mark Hunt, dispatched of Roy Nelson, defeated Gabriel Gonzaga, scored a TKO victory over Fabio Maldonado and brought former champion Junior dos Santos to the brink in a five-round war that many felt he might have just edged. Yeah, he's pretty damn good.
