It's unsurprising that one of the most violent sports in the world produces some of the most disgusting injuries ever seen. However, what is somewhat surprising about MMA is that it often feels like the worst cuts, gashes and broken bones seem to happen outside of the ring, cage, Octagon or whatever the promotion's battleground of choice is.
