Urijah Faber predicts a Conor McGregor victory at UFC 229

Urijah Faber and Conor McGregor have a storied history after the two fighters coached against one another on season 22 of the Ultimate Fighter.

They repeatedly clashed on the show due to Faber's criticism of the SBG fighters coaching style. So much so, that the former rival has now stepped forward and predicted McGregor to finish Khabib in their eagerly anticipated encounter on October 6. Faber believes that Conor holds a distinct advantage as every round starts on the feet, where McGregor is most dangerous, and Khabib is perceived to be weakest.

“I think odds are in Conor’s favor, because it starts standing every round, and unless Khabib can take him down over and over again, right off the bat, the power’s a little much,” Faber said. He continued, "I mean, I could be on the fence on this one, because Khabib could take him down a hundred times too. But 'Mystic Mac'... He beat some good guys. Chad Mendes, Jose Aldo, those guys don't get knocked out often...Eddie Alvarez... yeah a lot of tough guys."
