The social media and viewing figures suggest that UFC 196 was one of the biggest, if not the biggest, pay-per-view ever put on by the promotion and a rematch would trump those already lofty numbers, one would imagine. 'The Notorious' and his team have suggested that the next port of call is a return to 145 lbs where he will defend his featherweight title, likely at July's UFC 200, but McGregor has not ruled out another shot at Diaz. A slightly exasperated McGregor was speaking to TMZ Sports when he explained that a rematch with the Stockton fighter is a bout that intrigues him. "I think I'd like to see that, yeah," McGregor said. "It's one that interests me most certainly. "When I look at the fight, I was winning the fight. I won the first round and a half, I feel. "I'd love to get that one back."
