WATCH: Conor McGregor borrowed one of his most memorable quotes from Kanye West

Not 'Me and Jesus are cool', although you could imagine Kanye saying something like that.

"Gods recognise Gods," McGregor declared at the press event for UFC 197 (now UFC 196) earlier this year. The line was delivered with typical panache by the UFC featherweight champion after lightweight champ Rafael Dos Anjos criticised McGregor for saying he would beat Jesus in a hypothetical fight. Now it seems that McGregor may have borrowed that witty come-back from rapper and producer Kanye West. In a 2013 radio interview, located by reddit use NL Rutger, West declared:

"Anybody that's a God can recognise a God. Jesus would recognise Jesus. Y'all know what it is."
