WATCH: Conor McGregor has one major condition for a Nate Diaz trilogy fight

It's definitely going to happen, definitely... surely?

Surely! Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz went to war for the second time in five months. This time it went the distance. This time McGregor got the win. McGregor was fighting at 170 lbs for the second successive fight, despite being the 145 lbs featherweight champion. Having lost his first fight against Diaz at 170, McGregor insisted he would remain at that wait and get his revenge. He got there but he needed every last ounce of himself to get the decision win. https://twitter.com/SportsJOEdotie/status/767219755581378560 Both men appeared open to the idea of a trilogy fight before they squared off in Las Vegas, last night. Immediately after McGregor's hand was raised, he spoke of facing Diaz for a third time. On this occasion, however, it was McGregor calling the shots:

"All I know is that it's 1-1. We regroup but we'll do it again. "This time, I want it at 155 pounds. I came up to 170, faced the bigger man, overcame adversity. Now, if you want this trilogy it's on my terms. Come back down to 155 and we'll do it."

As for Diaz, he wants an immediate shot at The Notorious. He told Joe Rogan that an injury had kept him out of completing a full training camp. Speaking in the post-fight media huddle, Diaz remarked, "McGregor's going to hospital and I'm going to the afterparty." They may not fight each other next - Dana White insists McGregor must take on interim featherweight champ Jose Aldo - but there should be an opportunity to explode all gate and PPV records in early 2017.
