YouTube sensation Kimbo Slice set to make return to MMA

Bellator MMA have increased their drawing power by signing another "big name" fighter

Former UFC fighter Kimbo Slice is set to join Bellator's roster. The MMA promotion are expected to officially announce the acquisition of the fighter tonight. The 40-year-old Bahamian made his name as a street fighter and achieved internet fame after videos of his street brawls went viral on YouTube. After trying his hand at MMA under the now defunct Elite XC banner, Slice joined the cast of The Ultimate Fighter season 10 and signed for the sport's largest promotion. On the show, Slice suffered a first-round TKO loss to eventual winner and UFC fan favourite Roy "Big Country" Nelson. In his promotional debut, he defeated Houston Alexander in somewhat lacklustre fashion and before losing his sophomore bout to fat Chris Pratt Matt Mitrione, which marked the end of his short stint in the promotion. Slice hasn’t competed in MMA since the Mitrione defeat but has been competing as a professional boxer since 2011.
