Baz & Andrew’s House of Rugby – Will Addison and where we go from here

"I was getting a bit feral in Belfast so Emma thought it would be a good idea for us to get home."

Ulster and Ireland fullback Will Addison flew back to the North of England when the Coronavirus pandemic caused rugby, and most major sports, to halt its' 2019/20 season. Addison, who missed the Guinness Six Nations with a calf injury, was hoping to get back in time for the business end of the season but now, like his fellow professionals, is using this down period as a chance to let his body heal up. Week four of remote recording for Baz & Andrew's House of Rugby saw Addison dial in from the family farm, in the Cumbria region, to chat with Barry Murphy and Andrew Trimble. Addison revealed that he and his partner, Emma Sharples, headed back to his family's farm to lend a hand as best they could during a period where only essential workers are permitted to get about their business with any shred of normality. His father is running a tight ship, Addison remarks, and not allowing him any sick days, even as he continues his rehab programme and returns to full fitness. Also discussed on that show:
