Former Leinster star Chris Cosgrave has made the move to Japanese side Urayasu D-Rocks.
The 23-year-old fullback/winger, was released by Leinster last summer, before going on trial with Racing 92 and Bath, and togging out for Terenure in Division 1A of the AIL this season.
D-Rocks are coached by former Scotland scrum-half Greg Laidlaw, and feature well-known names such as Israel Folau, Jasper Wiese, Samu Kerevi, and Otere Black.
Newly promoted, they are currently last in the top flight after seven games.
As reported by Murray Kinsella of the The42, Cosgrave is joining as injury cover until May.
The former St Michael's College man starred for the Ireland U20s in 2021, alongside members of recent senior squads, including captain Alex Kendellen, Nathan Doak, Jack Boyle, Jamie Osborne, and Cathal Forde.
He made his Leinster debut in 2022 against Connacht, but it was the year after that he really showed his promise at senior level.
In March of 2023, in just his fourth start for the province, Cosgrave shone at fullback as an inexperienced Leinster team produced a magnificent comeback to defeat the Lions away from home.
Cosgrave scored a vital late try (below) to level up the game, and hit a pivotal 50-22 which lead to the winning penalty, which was slotted by Sam Prendergast on his debut.
In total he played seven times for Leinster, scoring two tries.
