He went on to help England to victory and lift the trophy, at Stade de France, but later admitted he has no memory of that ceremony. "We can't change the game too much," Hartley said to Simon. "The game is f***ing beautiful in its raw, gladiatorial form. We watch it because we want collisions. We watch it because we enjoy collisions."
