While the recently retired Ireland rugby kitman was handing out sweets and torturing the players with his dodgy choice in music, England's Dave Tennison was offering dodgy investment advice.
The England bagman has been fired by the RFU following the revelations that came out in the wake of the hosts' disastrous World Cup campaign.
https://twitter.com/jamieheaslip/status/646669425341501440The Daily Mail are reporting the 55-year-old former marine has been turfed out after 13 years with the union.
It is suggested Sam Burgess and Danny Care are among the players to lose upwards of £100,000 when Tennison's tip, oil drilling firm LGO Energy, saw share fall by £3.27 to just 45p.
When the revelations first came out Tennison was suspended and had his laptop confiscated, but following a three-hour meeting the 2003 World Cup veteran was relieved for gross misconduct relating to improper use of his RFU email, bringing the RFU into disrepute and offering financial inducements to players.
According to the Daily Mail Tennison told friends via email that the uggested he offered the players inducements is false.
"That was a total lie. There was no evidence of inducements because it didn’t happen.
"I feel I have done nothing wrong and I will not be walking away from this without a fight."
Tennison intends to have his appeal heard next week.
