IRFU share moment of nostalgia with All Blacks on Twitter on anniversary of 1973 draw

Today is the 42nd anniversary of Ireland's lone draw with the All Blacks and the unions have shared a moment of nostalgia on Twitter.

Ireland came agonisingly within seconds of beating New Zealand last season, but the 1973 vintage arguably came even closer to that tantalising triumph over rugby's aristocrats at Lansdowne Road. A late Tom Grace try levelled matters at 10-10 and gave out-half Barry McGann the chance to win for the hosts, but the Lansdowne man's difficult kick drifted wide of the posts.
