Joey Carbery insists his relationship with Johnny Sexton hasn’t changed since interpro

Munster fly-half Joey Carbery has said that he is still on good terms with Johnny Sexton after last month's heated interprovincial derby at Thomond Park.

The Leinster fly-half and reigning World Player of the Year rag dolled his former teammate to the ground during the game and said afterwards that those type of situations are just incidents that sometimes happen in matches. https://www.sportsjoe.ie/rugby/sexton-carbery-munster-leinster-188905 Carbery was asked about the match at Ireland camp in Carton House on Tuesday and said that the game hadn't been brought up in camp and added that his relationship is still the same with Sexton despite the incident in Limerick and his move to Munster.

"No I don't think so at all," Carbery told reporters when asked if his relationship with Sexton had changed. "I think everyone in this group is trying to make Ireland better and if that makes the players better, which I think competition does, then that's a winning environment so the more we push each other, [the more we] will benefit each other, and obviously benefit Ireland so nothing has changed. "The more competition that's there the better, it makes us both at the top of our game."

Carbery also added that Sexton is still willing to share pointers with him despite his defection and reiterated that the squad's full focus remains on Ireland and the Six Nations.

"I don't think anyone is willing to hide anything in the camp. It's purely Ireland based. Everyone is focusing on the team."

Carbery added that he'd like to start every game that he can this year but noted that the amount of time that he'll play in this year's Six Nations will entirely depend on head coach Joe Schmidt and his staff's selection.
