Johnny Sexton has given the country a bit of a scare by sitting out of Ireland training with a knock to the knee. The fly-half took no part of Wednesday's session at St. George's Park after he picked up a knock during the Canada match but the management team are hoping that he will be alright for Sunday. Ireland take on Romania at Wembley at the weekend before crunch games with Italy and France respectively and Joe Schmidt - and the entire country - will be praying that no harm comes to our blessed number 10. Thankfully, skills coach Richie Murphy has played down Sexton's injury. "It’s nothing serious," he said. "He picked up a bit of a knock during the game and we just felt that it was the right thing to just sit out training today. He's fine and in good spirits. "Everyone's in contention for Sunday. He's definitely not been ruled out for any other reason. The team will be announced, obviously, later on in the week and Johnny's in for selection like everyone else." He isn't the only concern. Iain Henderson, who seriously impressed against Canada, also sat out with a back injury along with Peter O'Mahony. It is believed that they too were rested as a precaution and Murphy is confident that they will have all three players for Sunday. "Both of them still can play this weekend, nobody's been ruled out," he said. "It was just a case that today is quite a long way away from the game, so it's felt that we give the lads time off today and make sure they're ready towards the weekend."
