Munster suffered a heartbreaking loss to Toulon this afternoon in their Champions Cup clash at the Stade Mayol.
The French side got themselves into 24-13 lead, but Munster, as they often do in Europe, clawed their way back with tries from Jack O'Donoghue and Tom Farrell, and a sumptuous go-ahead touchline conversion from Jack Crowley in the 72nd minute.
However, it was Toulon who had the last laugh when referee Karl Dickson awarded a penalty to the home side, which was duly converted by Marius Domon.
Dickson had adjudged Farrell to be 'taking up the space' at a ruck and preventing the Toulon players from competing, but on repeat viewing, it appears that Farrell is retreating and not interfering.
Unsurprisingly, the Munster faithful were not impressed.
