Munster and Leinster are on the Champions Cup brink; here’s how you can cheer them on

What an incredibly exciting time it is for Irish rugby.

The last time two Irish sides reached the semi-finals of Europe's premier club rugby competition was in 2012, when Leinster and Ulster both progressed to reach the final in Twickenham. Two years previously, Munster and Leinster both reached the last four. But they were humbled by French opposition in Biarritz and Toulouse, respectively. This time around, things are a lot more optimistic as Munster and Leinster are both having incredible seasons and their respective fans will have confidence that their sides could make the final in Murrayfield in May. Munster For Munster fans, their chance to see their team in the semi-final is a lot more straightforward than Leinster.

• Tickets for full Munster Rugby Supporters Club (MRSC) members went on sale today at midday, which each member entitled to two tickets.
• Associate members are also entitled to two tickets and they will go on sale at 4 pm.
• A public sale is expected to take place but the date has yet to be announced.

With the game taking place at Munster's Aviva Stadium, fans from down south will only have to worry about how to get to and from our capital city. Leinster  Leinster fans will have the opportunity (hopefully) to bask in some glorious sunshine as they will have to travel to Lyon to see their side reach their first final since 2012.

Leinster Rugby recommends that supporters purchase Category 2 and Category 3 tickets in order to keep Leinster fans together. Of course, Leinster fans have to face the prospect of getting to Lyon. Ryanair have announced direct return flights to Lyon departing Dublin on Saturday morning at 07:10 with the return flight on Sunday night after the match departing at 22:00. The current costs for this flight €374.98 at the time of writing. For fans who plan to stay in Lyon on both Saturday and Sunday night, there are flights departing on Saturday and returning on Monday for as low as €186*. Sure you might as well make a little holiday out of it! *Those cheaper flights involve a stopover in Frankfurt.
