Ospreys suspend two players after unsettling video emerges

The Ospreys have suspended two players after degrading footage appeared online which showed one of them thrusting himself against a homeless person. Warning: Some readers may find information (below) distressing  The video, which was posted on scrum-half Matthew Aubrey's Snapchat story, shows teammate and centre Callum Carson walking up to a homeless person who appears to be asleep. Carson - a former Wales U20s international - puts his arm around the person, before thrusting his hips against the individual from behind, who looks to be unaware of what is happening. As reported by Wales Online, the incident occurred in a doorway on The Friary in Cardiff, which is a popular area in the city centre - close to the Hilton Hotel - with several bars and restaurants nearby. A statement from Ospreys said:

"The behaviour shown in this video is totally unacceptable and not condoned by anyone associated with the Ospreys. "Both individuals have been suspended with immediate effect, pending further investigation. "The Ospreys would like to apologise to the person involved, and reinforce that this behaviour in no way represents our values. "We will be making no further comment at this time."

Carson, 22, plays for Wales Sevens and made his Wales U20s debut in 2018 after featuring for Swansea RFC. The centre was recently selected for the squad's return to the World Series in 2022. Aubrey, 24, signed a new two-year contract with the region last year and made his Ospreys debut against Harlequins at St Helen’s back in November 2016.
