Pic: London Irish’s St Patrick’s Day jersey is a horrendous mess of shamrockery

London Irish have a lovely tradition of releasing a special jersey each year for their games around St Patrick's Day.

However, this year, we're afraid they have gotten it very, very wrong indeed. This year's kit will be worn for the Exiles' special Premiership game against Saracens in the USA on March 12 and again in the home game against Gloucester on March 20, and has been created by renowned Irish designer Orla Kiely in association with kitmaker O'Neills. Unfortunately, the attempt to fit in with the much-loved Kiely brand has only served to create a shamrocky shambles. It's a shame as the club have also linked the release to World Cancer Day, and the jersey will bear the logo of the Cancer Research charity. They really should have just stuck with last year's rather striking effort...
