Ahead of the 2024/25 Champions Cup and Challenge Cup, we have put together a quiz to celebrate those who togged out for Leinster, Munster, Ulster, and Connacht during the 2000s.
It was the heyday of the competition, back when it was called the Heineken Cup. And while Connacht's first foray into the top tier came in 2012, we could not forget our Western brethren.
It was a decade dominated by Munster, who, despite epic victories on the way, lost two finals, before finally getting over the line in 2006 and 2008.
For Leinster, they eventually shook off their 'soft' tag under Michael Cheika when they vanquished Leicester Tigers at Murrayfield in 2009.
The Ulstermen can still to this day laud it over their rivals that they were the first Irish side to win the competition, but alas this way back in 1999, and there were no finals for them in the 2000s.
Connacht made do in the Challenge Cup, but had impressive runs to the semi-finals in 2004 and 2005.
Good luck, and enjoy!!
