La Rochelle head coach Ronan O'Gara has been slapped with a two-week ban after being sent to the stands during his side's loss to Pau on November 30.
The Irishman was warned after his livid reaction to Antoine Hastoy's red card - which was the quickest in Top 14 history - before getting red carded himself after another outburst in the second half.
Due to his previous suspensions, a two-week ban was increased by one week, but then brought back to two due to mitigating circumstances.
He has also been given a €3,000 fine.
A statement from La Ligue Nationale de Rugby reads: “Mr Ronan O’Gara was found guilty of ‘action against a match official,’ specifically of ‘disrespecting the authority of a match official'.
“The initial penalty, a two-week suspension, was the lowest level on the scale of severity.
“After taking into account the aggravating circumstance (disciplinary record), the sanction was increased by one week.
“After considering mitigating circumstances (expression of remorse, admission of guilt, and conduct before and during the hearing), the sanction was reduced by one week.
“Therefore, Mr Ronan O’Gara is suspended for two weeks and also fined €3,000.
“As of December 10, 2025, and considering the Stade Rochelais match schedule, Mr Ronan O’Gara will be eligible to return to play on December 14, 2025.”
