Joshua Brennan, son of Ireland and Leinster legend Trevor Brennan, has been called into the France rugby squad for the first time at the age of 22.
Brennan plays as a forward for the French side Toulouse and, despite being born in Dublin, spent much of his childhood in France where his Dad spent the latter part of his career.
Trevor Brennan earned 13 caps for Ireland and won two European cups with Toulouse before retiring in 2007 after receiving a ban for attacking a fan.
Emerging star Joshua played U20 rugby for France in 2020 and 2021 and now looks set to be involved for Les Bleus, who face Japan, New Zealand and Argentina next month.
Joshua has played 69 times for the French giants since his debut in 2020. He featured off the bench in last season's Investec Champions Cup final against Leinster and the Top14 final against Bordeaux-Begles.
The youngster is one of eight uncapped players included in Fabien Galthie’s 42-man squad for the Autumn Internationals, while former Munster centre Antoine Frisch has also been named.
Joshua's older brother Daniel is also plying his trade in the Top14 - he plays as a tighthead prop for Toulon and became the first Irishman to win a World Rugby U20 Championship medal in 2018.
