The All-Blacks have gone for a *shocking* new design for their World Cup geansaí

Well it's black.

The most famous side in world rugby are on countdown to reclaim the William Webb Ellis trophy, and the Kiwis have now revealed what they hope to be wearing if they do get their hands on it in the autumn. The All Blacks are-you've guessed it-usually adorned in all black, so it's zero surprise that they hope to be wearing this snazzy outfit for the Rugby World Cup final in a few months time. The jersey also has a few new features that the originial 'Men in Black' are hoping might help them see off rivals such as Ireland and Australia for the top prize in world rugby. According to the now traditional sales blurb that makes every jersey sound like it's come from outer space, this geansai from Adidas takes its inspiration from the 1905 New Zealand team which embarked on a legendary 35 match tour and lost only one game on their travels through the UK, France and America. https://twitter.com/adidasrugby/status/616023438700851200 The jersey contains a patterned design across the shoulders and chest which is a hat-tip to the famous leather yoke which was across the jerseys from 110 years ago. Team captain Richie McCaw is all sorts of delighted with the new design, that also sees the right sleeve acknowledge their two previous World Cup wins in 1987 and 2011,

"To wear a jersey with a design that represents the nation’s proud rugby heritage and reflects the team’s success since that iconic team of 1905-1906 is hugely significant to us. We’re ready to wear the Rugby World Cup jersey with pride.”

Probably the most interesting aspect of the jersey is that the Adidas logo is now dead in the middle-something that we have to admit we're not that fond of with the Rugby World Cup 2015 logo on the right. H/t to All Blacks
