WATCH: The BBC paid tribute to Anthony Foley at the Sports Personality of the Year Awards

Anthony Foley was remembered at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards on Sunday evening.

Foley's inclusion alongside such figures in the BBC montage shows how respected he was throughout world rugby and in the sporting world. Mark Farren, the former Derry City striker who passed away earlier this year following a battle with cancer, was also remembered in the moving montage. As was Ailish Sheehan, a rower from Limerick who passed away earlier this year.
