World Rugby comments about Ireland can only bode well for 2023 World Cup bid

This can only be a good thing.

Despite Ireland being knocked out at the group stages in the Women's Rugby World Cup the event as a whole can be considered a massive success. For each of Ireland's games against Australia, Japan and France the UCD Bowl was packed out with green filling the stands. The support was fantastic and featured more than a few well-known faces and despite slumping to a 21-5 defeat at the hands of France the crowd were immense.  The tournament has left Dublin and headed north for Belfast and the city has been praised heavily by World Rugby Chairman Bill Beaumont. As per RTÉ, Beaumont was full of praise for the city that would host the high profile games of the 2023 Rugby World Cup if awarded to Ireland. "This has been a very special Women’s Rugby World Cup on and off the field and Dublin has certainly played its part as an exceptional host,"  Beaumont told the site.
