Aaron Greene sent off for controversial challenge in Dublin Derby

Shamrock Rovers midfielder Aaron Greene was given a straight red card for a hefty challenge on Bohemian's forward Keith Ward.

Bohemian's won the game 1-0 thanks to a second-half penalty from Dinny Corcoran which sent the Gypsies' to the top of the table with three wins from three games. https://twitter.com/SoccRepublic/status/1100353465195220993 Bohemians U19's product Ali Reghba came on as a substitute for Ward in the derby and Bohemians manager Keith Long is delighted with the competition he now has up front at Dalymount Park.

“I’m delighted to have Ali back on board. He gives us more options up front and out wide," Long told the club's website before the game. “He’s still very young and has a lot to learn but he’s a quick learner too and has worked extremely hard. “There’s competition up front now with Dinny, Sam Byrne, Ryan and Ali. It’s great to have Ryan playing too. He was so unfortunate last year, getting injured in only his second training session. “He’s worked ever so hard and his attitude has been exemplary. He’s honest, hard-working and they’re the kind of people we want.”
