According to a report in The Mirror, a France fan was arrested after sneaking a flare into a Euro 2016 fanzone last week. The fan accidentally set the flare alight and injured himself, as well as two others, but the way that he smuggled it in is perhaps the most interesting element of this story. Apparently, the unnamed 18-year-old managed to slip it past the security checks by hiding the seven-inch long flare up his rectum on his way into the fanzone ahead of France's 2-0 victory over Albania on Wednesday. “The supporter managed to burn himself and two other fans," Nice prosecutor Jean-Michel Pretre said. At least he got it out of his backside before he lit it because that would have been a proper horror show. Every cloud and all that! He's expected to appear before a Nice court on Monday.
