Alex Teixeira’s latest comments on a move to the Premier League may worry Liverpool fans

Jurgen Klopp said after today's 5-4 win over Norwich that there was no solution to the club's woes in the transfer market.

We're sure the German was referring to the club's inability once again to defend as a unit, or win a header. The club do seem to have plenty of firepower though, as Roberto Firmino scored twice, while James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana all made their mark this afternoon in a mental game. So perhaps Alex Teixiera's comments about where he really wants to play his football could have been timed a little bit better. The Shakhtar Donetsk man has been long linked with Liverpool, and according to an interview in his native Brazil, the forward, has indicated that he is ready to leave the club, either this month, or in the summer.

“I would like to move in this transfer window and have told them that. They have received a very good offer and they are working on a solution. But if I don’t go now then I will leave in the summer. “After six years in Europe and with Shakhtar we are ready to move and I have spoken to my wife and daughter.”

It's understood that Liverpool had a bid for the player rejected last week, but now that he has effectively said he has no more interest playing for the Ukranian side. However Liverpool should tread carefully, as they have missed out on January targets before to other Premier League rivals, and the 26-year-old has indicated that Anfield may not be the only club looking to sign the striker this month. Chelsea previously nicked Mohamed Salah from under the nose of Ian Ayre, and the Brazil international admits the Blues are a club who interest him, and are interested in him, too.

"It is my desire to move to a big league and I know that the English league is very strong. I am ready and I know that I will grow up a lot there. I am aware that two big clubs such as Liverpool and Chelsea are interested but I haven’t given my word to either of them. “I am not ruling out other leagues but I do want to play in the Premier League. In my mind, it is the strongest in the world. I want a challenge and to further my career there."
