Angel di Maria admits that he has not performed well enough in recent weeks

Angel di Maria is under no illusions about his form in recent weeks by revealing that he believes that he hasn't provided enough for Manchester United lately.

United's record signing has struggled with form this season, scoring just four times since his big-money move from Real Madrid last summer. "I’ve had a couple of games where things haven’t gone as well as they could have," he admitted during in an interview with MUTV. "I think it’s part of that settling-in process to the English game." The first half to the season proved slightly more successful for the Argentine who hasn't found the net in the Premier League since 5 October and di Maria is well aware of the lofty standards expected of him. "I started off quite well but I think that then made expectations rise and everyone thought I would just carry on in the same way," he said. "But football is like that, sometimes you have these ups and downs. It took me a while to settle fully in each of the countries where I’ve played before. "I just have to keep working hard and focusing on what I want, which is to do as well as I possibly can." Thoughts, United fans?
