Antoine Griezmann has announced his retirement from international football after 135 games over 10 years. He scored 44 goals for the national tean.
The France legend enjoyed an illustrious career with Le Blues and was a key part of the team that won the World Cup in 2018 and the Nations League in 2021.
Furthermore, the 33-year-old featured in the 2016 Euros final, although did lose out to Portugal in the final.
Upon his retirement, Griezmann said: “Today, it is with deep emotion that I’m announcing my retirement as a player of the France team.
“After 10 incredible years marked by challenges, successes and unforgettable moments, it is time for me to turn a page and make way for the new generation. Wearing this jersey was an honour and a privilege.”
He played a French record 84 consecutive matches for Les Bleus between November 2016 and March 2024.
