There was excitement in the air last week after it was announced that Manchester United would have a training camp in Ireland from April 6-9, at Carton House in Kildare.
Michael Carrick's side are currently battling it out to finish in the top four of the Premier League, after a superb start to his reign as boss, and have an extended break until their next league game.
However, their impending presence on these shores has not suited everyone.
The Armagh footballers rocked up to Carton House over the weekend for their own training camp, only to discover that the pitches were lined out for soccer.
Their request to have the lines changed to a GAA layout was denied, and so was their offer to line the pitch themselves.
After their needs were not met, they subsequently decided to return home on Friday evening.
According to a report from Cahair O'Kane, it is unclear whether the venue - which has been a regular haunt for the team under boss Kieran McGeeney - has refunded Armagh.
