Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to split from his wife

Arsene Wenger has split up with his wife, according to reports.

The Arsenal manager and his wife Annie are believed to have been issued with a 'separation of bodies' judgement in Paris which means they are free to see other people. The Sun are reporting that the pair have separated after months of speculation that they were no longer an item. Some outlets have claimed that the Gunners boss, who has always been believed to be consumed with football, had 'become close' with French rapper, Sonia Tatar. A French legal expert advised The Sun that this kind of separation was common in Catholic families who are more reluctant to divorce. "This is a legal separation, which means the couple are not legally obliged to live together, and they can have separate lives, and no longer have intimate relations," the expert said.

"He will have to still keep his responsibilities to look after the family. If the judgment is not overturned within two years, a divorce will be automatically granted."

Wenger and his wife married in 2010 and have an 18-year-old daughter together.
