Arsene Wenger has his eyes on one of the biggest managerial jobs in Europe

Wenger is keen on a return to football this winter.

Arsene Wenger is ready to dig out his big coat again and get back to working in the world of football. After a 22-year spell with Arsenal, Wenger stepped down from the top job at the Emirates as tension in the club had reached boiling point and his methods no longer seemed to work as they once did. But having rested, the 68-year-old is ready to get back to business. Wenger recently said that he will make his return this January, but gave no suggestion as to which club he would join, or in what capacity he would be working. However, Le Parisien are now reporting that Wenger has his eyes on the Bayern Munich job, as well as the Real Madrid job, which could become vacant if Julen Lopetegui is dismissed in the near future. Bayern are currently managed by Niko Kovac and lie sixth in the Bundesliga, four points behind first placed Borussia Dortmund. If Bayern do not show signs of improvement by the time Christmas comes around, there's every chance that Kovac will be sacked, making way for Wenger. Equally, the same could happen at the Santiago Bernabeu, as pressure mounts on Lopetegui after his side went an entire month without scoring a goal, also losing to Deportivo Alaves. Wenger was approached by Real Madrid several times during his time at Arsenal but stayed loyal to the North London club. Now, though, could be the ideal time for him to take over at Madrid. Le Parisien also report that Wenger is still considering taking a role as a sporting director at Paris Saint-Germain, working in tandem with Thomas Tuchel. One thing is for certain: the former Arsenal boss is ready to get back to work and has his eyes on some of the biggest jobs in the game.
