What a crazy ending to the match

Atletico Madrid and Manchester City's players clashed towards the end of the Champions League quarter-final tie between the two sides on Wednesday. Pep Guardiola's side came into the second leg with a 1-0 lead thanks to Kevin De Bruyne's goal in the first leg at the Etihad Stadium last week. It was a cagey affair at the Wanda Metropolitano on Wednesday evening, with both sides having chances to take a lead in the match. However, the game erupted into chaos in the final few minutes after Stefan Savić appeared to try and drag Phil Foden off the pitch after the Englishman was fouled on the touchline. The Montenegrin's actions led to City players coming to the defence of Foden, with several players from both clubs getting involved. During the chaos, Brazilian defender Felipe - who somehow escaped a booking early on in the second leg for a rash tackle on Foden - was sent off. Savic also appeared to steer his head towards City substitute Raheem Sterling. The centre-back was confused about the referee's decision, however, he received his marching orders, but stood near the tunnel to watch the remainder of the match. During added-time, Diego Simone stepped onto the pitch to try and calm down his players, particularly Savić who was exchanging words with Foden once again.
