Barnsley supporter takes drastic measure to make sure Corkman goes nowhere

Tykes supporter Matty Dobbo has started a petition in the very optimistic hope that it convinces Her Majesty's Government to stand in the way of any potential transfer. "Numerous bids have been rumoured to be thrown about for Barnsley's star man and captain fantastic Conor Hourihane," Dobbo writes. "We CAN NOT allow this to happen! This petition calls on HM government to make it ILLEGAL for Barnsley FC to sell Conor Hourihane to any other football club for any fee." Hourihane was called up to Martin O'Neill's Republic of Ireland squad last October but has yet to make his senior international debut. Perhaps a move to a bigger club would move that process along but don't tell that to ol' Dobbo, who clearly doesn't want to see the 25-year-old's time at Oakwell come to an end.
