England’s Bukayo Saka has named who he thinks is the most underrated player in the world.
The Arsenal winger is currently a key member of Gareth Southgate’s England squad who are preparing to take on Switzerland tomorrow in the quarter-final of the European Championships.
In an interview with talkSPORT, Saka had a lot of admiration for one high-profile player he claimed deserves more respect.
Saka heaped praise on Al-Hilal and Brazilian international, Neymar. He said: “I think people talk about him but he should be spoken about more. He deserves more respect than he gets, personally that's what I feel.”
At a domestic level, the 32-year-old midfielder has won several trophies for Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain and has won over 100 caps for Brazil but Saka feels he deserves more praise.
With Barcelona he won the Champions League, two LaLiga titles and three Copa del Reys whilst during his time at PSG he won five Ligue 1 titles, the Coupe de France three times and the Coupe de la Ligue twice.
He is Brazil’s all-time record goal scorer having netted 79 times for his country.
Meanwhile, on social media Neymar played a ‘winner stays on’ style game where he had to choose between some of the best players of the modern era.
Arjen Robben was pitted against Thierry Henry and Neymar opted for Henry. He then picked Kylian Mbappe over Henry.
It took Brazilian legend Ronaldinho to knock Mbappe out after Neymar chose the French captain over Luis Figo, Franck Ribery, Ousmane Dembele, Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish.
He chose Cristiano Ronaldo over Ronaldinho but didn’t hesitate to chose Lionel Messi over the Portuguese international.
He was asked to choose between himself and Messi as the greatest player and conceded that his former Barcelona teammate was better than him.
