Carlos Alberto, the former Brazil captain and scorer of one of the most famous goals of all-time, has died aged 72 on Tuesday afternoon after suffering a heart attack. https://twitter.com/Tim_Vickery/status/790923457047433216 Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1944, the defender went on to play for Fluminense, Santos and the New York Cosmos, and had a lengthy coaching career which saw him take charge of Corinthians and Botafogo in his native country. His final stint in the dugout was as Azerbaijan manager in 2005.
