Celtic striker joins terminally-ill Hibernian fan for Scottish Cup victory parade

He might well be a Celtic player, but the 25-year-old remains a fan of Hibernian. Last weekend, Griffiths was out to see the team parade the Scottish Cup following their historic win over Rangers. https://youtu.be/tO-83GTsfYw Griffiths also joined a terminally-ill Hibs supporter for the parade on Sunday. According to The Daily Record, the man, an in-patient at Edinburgh's St. Columba's hospice, was too unwell to attend the match at Hampden Park at the weekend, but was nevertheless delighted to have met Griffiths. According to reports, over 100,000 Hibs fans turned out to watch Sunday's parade, a spectacle head coach Alan Stubbs described as "A sight to behold." Given some of the images from the day, it's hard to argue with him. The 3-2 victory over Rangers was the first time Hibs have lifted the Scottish Cup since 1902 and also secures the Championship club a berth in the Europa League qualifying rounds which start in mid-July.
