Where, exactly, remains to be seen. Chelsea have been the most strongly linked with him, but United are unlikely to want to sell him to another English club. Despite being linked with European heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, it seems there's a genuine lack of Champions League clubs willing to take him - and his gargantuan wage packet - any time soon.
With that in mind, it's now emerged a move outside of Europe could be a viable option for the 37-year-old, who has reportedly been offered a huge amount of money to play for a club in Saudi Arabia. Because, y'know, he probably needs the money.

TVI News in Ronaldo's native Portugal, as per CNN, claim an unnamed Saudi club have tabled an offer which would see him earn £211m over a two-year period in the Middle East - more than quadrupling the weekly wages he agreed when returning to Old Trafford summer. Not only that, Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, would also earn around £17m in commission if a deal can be struck.
United would also make near double the £12.9m they paid to Juventus to bring him back to Old Trafford at the end of last summer, which may help them add to their squad with the new season approaching.
It remains to be seen if Ronaldo will take the deal. He is yet to join up with United's squad on their preseason tour after citing 'family reasons'. The club accepted his explanation.
