Cristiano Ronaldo surpasses Shakira to claim yet another record

Not satisfied with merely breaking records on the pitch, Cristiano Ronaldo is now doing it off the field too, on social media

The Real Madrid star is now officially the most followed human being on the face of the Earth. Well, on Facebook at least. Their data on his stalkers has yet to be released.

Last year, Ronaldo became the first athlete to break 100million likes on the social media platform and now he has kicked things up a notch. At the time of writing, Ronaldo had surpassed 107,105,000 likes, which is roughly 15,000 more than Colombian songstress Shakira.

Not only is he comprehensively thrashing Gerard Pique's wife, strictly in a social media sense of course, Ronaldo is also annihilating FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi online. The Argentine only has a meagre 78million followers on Facebook. It's like Messi's not even trying. Hat-tip to 101 Great Goals
