David de Gea looks likely to stay on for one more year as Keylor Navas unveiled as Real No.1

We always knew that David de Gea was likely to end up between the sticks at the Bernabeu but the move looks unlikely to take place this summer.

One of the longest transfer sagas in recent memory could be about to rumble on for another 12 months as Keylor Navas has officially been handed the number one jersey that Iker Casillas vacated. If de Gea was to make the move to the La Liga outfit then you'd presume he'd immediately be handed the number one so that would lead one to believe that Real have made the decision to hold out for another season in order to get their man on a free transfer at the end of the 2015/16 season. That likelihood is made all the more probable by the fact that Real have signed Kiko Casilla from Espanyol who can act as Navas' understudy. United fans have all but resigned themselves to losing the 'keeper who has been their best player over the past two campaigns but will be hopeful that something happens in the next few months that leads him to change his mind about returning to the Spanish capital.
