The reaction to David Moyes returning to Premier League management has been very mixed

After over two years away from the Premier League, David Moyes has return to the English top flight.

Sunderland have appointed Moyes as Sam Allardyce's successor, who was confirmed as the new manager of England on Friday.

"I am delighted to have joined Sunderland," Moyes told www.safc.com. "I am relishing the challenge and excited by the opportunity. "I have taken over a big British club, with a great support and I'm looking forward to working in the Premier League again.

"I look forward to continuing the good work done by Sam."

https://twitter.com/SunderlandAFC/status/756773942355001344 Moyes had been linked with the Sunderland gig when they were searching for a replacement for Dick Advocaat last October, but it took Big Sam landing the England role for him to finally secure the position.

His impressive 11 year-tenure at Everton has some fans hopeful that the he will prove to be the right man for the job, with a lot of people genuinely excited to see him back in England.
