Brentford announced the signing of former Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher for an initial transfer fee of £12.5m, with add-ons bringing it up to £18m, on Tuesday.
Kelleher has been a reliable deputy for Liverpool No 1 Alisson Becker making 20 appearances for the Reds, while keeping nine clean sheets this season.
It has been no secret that the Corkman has desired more first-team minutes. The summer arrival of £30m Valencia keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili has seen Kelleher decide to finally move to another club.
Another Liverpool player who is on is way out the door is right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. The academy graduate was originally meant to join Spanish giants Real Madrid when his contract expired, but joined on June 1 to be able to play in the Club World Cup.
Alexander-Arnold's rep with Liverpool fans took a serious hit when he revealed he would leave on a free initially. The Englishman was even booed in a home draw against Arsenal towards the end of the season.
This is in stark contrast to the reaction to Kelleher leaving, with Liverpool fans expressing their gratitude to their former No 2 when the move was finalised.
This difference can even be seen with how the Premier League champions wrote their farewell posts to both players on social media.
Despite Alexander-Arnold being a more prominent figure in the Red's success, making over 200 appearances for the club, his farewell message was way less emotional.
Liverpool fans were quick to spot the difference, with many delighted at the club putting more effort for Kelleher's goodbye message than Alexander-Arnold's,
