An English football legend is among celebrities named in the recently released Epstein files.
As reported by the Mirror, the list includes a number of royals, prime ministers, musicians, journalists, and other cultural icons.
A number of very high-profile people are named.
Now we must make it clear, that being named in these documents does not indicate any wrongdoing.
It also doesn't indicate that those named had a friendship with Epstein.
The names appear relating to different contexts ranging from business discussions and general social contact.
One of these is England football legend Sir David Beckham who was mentioned nine times in the more than 23,000 files.
Several individuals have already addressed their alleged links and denied any misconduct. Prince Andrew has repeatedly rejected the allegations made against him, and model Naomi Campbell has said she had no knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activities, explaining that she was introduced to him through mutual acquaintances.
Jeffrey Epstein, a billionaire with connections across politics, academia, and the celebrity world, was first arrested in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2005 after being accused of paying a 14-year-old girl for sex.
Dozens of other underage girls later came forward with similar accounts of abuse, but in 2008 prosecutors allowed Epstein to plead guilty to a single charge involving one victim. He served 13 months in a county jail on a work-release programme.
Here's the full list of Brits who have been named, as reported by the Mirror:
