Eva Carneiro could call on a Chelsea star to testify against club at hearing

We don't blame Eden Hazard for trying to keep his head down.

The Chelsea winger could be called as a star witness at Eva Carneiro's constructive dismissal next year. The former Chelsea first-team doctor left Stamford Bridge after manager Jose Mourinho hit out at his medical staff for taking to the field to treat Hazard late on in Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Swansea at the start of the season. The Daily Mail report that Hazard does not want to get involved in the case but that he would be obliged to testify if called upon by an employment tribunal. The tribunal may want to know whether Hazard requested treatment from the medical team on 8 August and the player is obviously the only party who can give definitive confirmation. Mourinho slammed Carneiro and physio Jon Fearn in his post-match interview, calling them 'naive,' and Carneiro left the club after believing her position was untenable. Carneiro is also preparing an individual legal claim against Jose Mourinho so things have certainly been better around southwest London.
